Pilea peperomoides 'Sugar' (Chinese money plant)

The Pilea peperomoides, a sought-after plant that is all over Instagram! This variety has wonderful scalloped edge leaves, speckled with white (variegation). Super easy to care for and easy to propagate so you'll have plenty of plantlets to share!

*To propagate; using a sharp knife cut the plantlet stem just below the soil. Place the cutting in water for around a month until it begins to grow roots. Change the water every few days, plant the rooted cutting in a small pot with regular multi-purpose compost

Care difficulty: Very easy!

Light requirements: Bright, indirect light. Rotate the plant every week or so, to prevent it from leaning towards the light. Avoid direct sun, as this can scorch the leaves.

Watering: Water roughly once a week in summer, allowing the top of the soil to dry out a little between waterings. Decrease watering in winter to once every two weeks.

Humidity: These plants enjoy humidity. But can also do ok in average household humidity.

Toxicity: Non-toxic to pets.

Feeding: Liquid feed occasionally during the spring and summer to support growth and flowering.

Repotting: Repot around once a year -check to see if the roots are coming out the bottom of the pot or when the plant is to large!
