Native to the rainforest of Central America and down to Peru and Ecuador. The Philodendron verrucosum incensi has velvety leaves that are dark green with bright green veins and have a deep purply-red underside. The petioles of this plant are covered in very fine white hairs. This striking plant will stand out in any home.

RATING-Moderate

LOVES-Bright indirect sunlight - to much will scorch the leaves.

HATES- Overwatering- water when the top inch of soil is dry. Overwatering will lead to yellow leaves and root rot

    Care Difficulty: Easy to care for.

    Light requirements: Likes bright but indirect sunlight. Direct sun can cause the leaves to burn.

    Watering: Water thoroughly and allow topsoil to dry out between waterings, this plant is prone to root rot so make sure the soil isn’t waterlogged.

    Humidity: Enjoy a bit of humidity so make sure you give it a mist , use a pebble tray or group plants together. Humidifiers, bathrooms and kitchens are also good for increasing humidity. Wipe clean his leaves with a wet damp cloth.

    Toxicity: Toxic to humans and pets

    Feeding: Enjoys a feed around once a month in spring and summer.

    Repotting: check to see if the roots are coming out the bottom of the pot!

    FREE UK DELIVERY ON ALL ORDERS OVER £50.

    Free local delivery to Brighton & Hove homes and surrounding areas is available.

    UK Nationwide delivery fees (for total orders under £50):

    • £4 for 48-hour tracked delivery via Royal Mail
    • £6.95 tracked next-day working day delivery with UPS (order must be received before 2pm to guarantee next-day delivery).

    These charges cover the whole order, regardless of how many items. Please email us if you would like the option to upgrade your shipping for faster delivery.

    Refunds & returns

    Refunds are available for any plant or product with an obvious fault. The request must be made within 7 days of delivery via email or by phone.

    Any products damaged in transit will require photos to be submitted via email. If we think they are salvageable we will provide you with return labels. If they are not we will provide a full refund, but we require the complaint to be submitted within 7 days of receiving the plant.

    Any return of plants within 7 days for any other reason will require the customer to pay for that return postage. Full details can be found here on our Refunds Policy page.
