Overview

This plant is commonly known as a ‘Raindrop plant’ due to its distinctive droplet shaped leaves and is native to East Asia. This relatively fast grower has large smooth leaves branching out of long stems. Like the Chinese Money Plants these are very easy to care for. They prefer bright, indirect light, and watering roughly once a week when the top couple of inches of the soil feels dry.

Quick Care Guide

Care difficulty: Very easy!

Light requirements: Bright, indirect light. Rotate the plant every week or so, to prevent it from leaning towards the light. Avoid direct sun, as this can scorch the leaves.

Watering: Water roughly once a week in summer, allowing the top couple of inches of the soil to dry out a little between waterings. Decrease watering in winter to once every two weeks.

Humidity: These plants enjoy humidity.

Toxicity: Non-toxic to pets.

Feeding: Liquid feed occasionally during the spring and summer to support growth.

Repotting: When the roots are coming out the bottom of the pot or offsets have filled the pot.
