Mangave otherwise known as false agave resemble agave in appearance but are actually a hybrid of Manfreda and Agave. A super easy to care for succulent, as a hybrid they grow faster than most Agave varieties and are easier to look after. They also come in many varieties with more interesting patterns and colours- this variety has deep burgundy red striped leaves with spotted patterns on the edges that blend into a dark green.

LOVES- A bright sunlit spot 

HATES- Overwatering, as a succulent water frequently during the growing season but reduce in winter allowing the soil to almost completely dry out

Quick Care Guide

Difficulty: This plant has an easy difficulty rating

Light requirements: Enjoys a bright well lit and sunny spot. A south facing windowsill would be perfect or a bright spot outside.

Watering: Water sparingly from spring to autumn and reduce significantly throughout winter to avoid root rot

Humidity: This plant is a succulent so requires low levels of humidity. High humidity can cause issues so avoid placing this plant in a steamy bathroom for example

Toxicity: Considered toxic to pets

Feeding: Feed once a month during growing season using a liquid fertiliser that is for cacti/succulents

Repotting: Repot once it doubles in size or on average once every 2 year. Use a free draining cacti/succulent potting mix

FREE UK DELIVERY ON ALL ORDERS OVER £50.

Free local delivery to Brighton & Hove homes and surrounding areas is available.

UK Nationwide delivery fees (for total orders under £50):

  • £4 for 48-hour tracked delivery via Royal Mail
  • £6.95 tracked next-day working day delivery with UPS (order must be received before 2pm to guarantee next-day delivery).

These charges cover the whole order, regardless of how many items. Please email us if you would like the option to upgrade your shipping for faster delivery.

Refunds & returns

Refunds are available for any plant or product with an obvious fault. The request must be made within 7 days of delivery via email or by phone.

Any products damaged in transit will require photos to be submitted via email. If we think they are salvageable we will provide you with return labels. If they are not we will provide a full refund, but we require the complaint to be submitted within 7 days of receiving the plant.

Any return of plants within 7 days for any other reason will require the customer to pay for that return postage. Full details can be found here on our Refunds Policy page.
