    Quick Care Guide

Care Difficulty: The jewel orchid has moderate care needs.

Light requirements: Prefers bright but indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight can cause the leaves to burn. The flowers will struggle to bloom in too little light.

Watering: This plant likes to be kept moist so allow the top 2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings the leaves may droop if not getting enough water. In winter, reduce watering to avoid root rot.

Humidity: Prefers a slightly more humid environment so make sure you are misting frequently or using a humidifier. Bathrooms and kitchens can also provide a more humid environment.

Toxicity: Non-toxic to humans and pets.

Feeding: Enjoys a feed several times during spring and summer.

Repotting: A slow growing plant repotting only needs to be done every 2 years, increasing the pot size by 1-2 inches as Jewel orchids tend to spread.
