Quick Care Guide

Care Difficulty: This plant has moderate care needs.

Light requirements: The Fittonia likes a bright location, out of direct sun as this will burn the leaves.

Watering: Water thoroughly after allowing the top 2 inches of soil to dry out. This plant does not like overwatering so make sure the soil has sufficient drainage and that the pot has drainage holes. If not given enough eater this plant can wilt and faint, if caught earlier enough this plant can bounce back once given water.

Humidity: Prefers a humid environment, keep in the bathroom or kitchen where humidity is higher or make sure to mist the area surrounding the foliage regularly. Low humidity can cause browning tips. Fittonia's also make. a great addition to terrariums.

Toxicity: Non toxic to humans and pets.

Feeding: Likes to be fed once - twice a month during the growing season (spring-summer) and not at all during winter.

Repotting: Repot every 2 years to a pot one size up or when excessively root bound. This also gives you a chance to propagate your fittonia by division.
