There are over 2,000 species of Euphorbia, which grow all across the world, but particularly in warmer regions, like this one, the Euphorbia trigona. Known as an African milk tree, this Euphorbia is native to Central Africa. This particular Euphorbia variety is a shade of deep green with 3 sided upright stems that gives it the name ‘Trigona’.

Teardrop-shaped leaves and thorns will grow on the sides of these stems. A perennial plant, the euphorbia will drop and regrow its leaves. A statement plant for any room.

RATING: Easy to care for.

LOVES: Euphorbia trigona enjoys a bright spot. Watering when most of the soil is dry.

HATES: Very cold temperatures and over-watering. Do not mist your African Milk Tree!

Care Difficulty: An easy to care for plant.

Light requirements: Euphorbia Trigona likes a bright spot. Can handle some direct sunlight but not all day as this will scorch the plant.

Watering: Likes to dry out between waterings. This plant is drought tolerant but only for short periods.

Humidity: Native to Africa this plant doesn't care for humidity, normal household conditions will be suitable.

Toxicity: Toxic to pets & humans. The sap is an irritant so handle it with care.

Feeding: Feed with cacti and succulent feed during the growth period (Spring and Summer)

Repotting: Can be repotted every 1-2 years in a pot that is slightly larger than its original pot.

Free local delivery to Brighton & Hove homes and surrounding areas is available.

UK Nationwide delivery fees (for total orders under £50):

  • £4 for 48-hour tracked delivery via Royal Mail
  • £6.95 tracked next-day working day delivery with UPS (order must be received before 2pm to guarantee next-day delivery).

These charges cover the whole order, regardless of how many items. Please email us if you would like the option to upgrade your shipping for faster delivery.

Refunds & returns

Refunds are available for any plant or product with an obvious fault. The request must be made within 7 days of delivery via email or by phone.

Any products damaged in transit will require photos to be submitted via email. If we think they are salvageable we will provide you with return labels. If they are not we will provide a full refund, but we require the complaint to be submitted within 7 days of receiving the plant.

Any return of plants within 7 days for any other reason will require the customer to pay for that return postage. Full details can be found here on our Refunds Policy page.
