Alpinia zerumbet ‘Variegata’ is native to Eastern Asia and is a member of the Ginger family (Zingiberaceae). The large paddle shaped leaves (That can grow up to 60cm long!) are bold and variegated with irregular bright stripes of yellow and green. If given the right care these plants can produce a white-pink flower. Can even be placed outside during the summer months in a semi shaded spot!
This plant was donated by someone who's house it had outgrown, therefore half the profits of the sale of this plant will be going to our charity of the month!
RATING- Moderate
LOVES- Humidity and a bright to semi-shaded location.
HATES- Doesn't like to dry out, keep this plant moist by not soggy!
